Disclaimer: first let me say that I do not have everything figured out about working from home and how to balance all of that. But, I have received a lot of questions about how I balance the home, life, work, and motherhood. I do not have all the answers, but I am happy to share what works for our family.

Friday Favorites: July 12th

Oh, hello there!

I’ve gotten a little off track with my “Friday Favorites” blog posts, but I bet you barely noticed. I’ll admit, life has felt both crazy and mellow at the same time. How is that even possible, right? I’m not really sure. It just feels like life is full of play and being spontaneous and wasting time, instead of staying on track with goals and being productive. It’s been nice actually.

What I’ve Learned From My Sales Tripling

On August 21st, 2018 something wild happened. My 2018 Fall products went live and chaos ensued. Well, not really chaos. But kind of. Up until that point, my shop was successful, but on that day I was absolutely blown away by the response to my new products. Seemingly overnight, my sales tripled and I was shook. Excited, overwhelmed, sold out of products, limited on time, and tired, I was suddenly faced with a large amount of orders to ship and not enough time.

There’s this thing you hear in the entrepreneur world and it goes something like “if Oprah mentioned your business to the world today, would you be prepared?”

Four Ways Failure Grew My Business

When I first started my business about 4 years ago, I remember people telling me how it takes a long time to get your business to the place you want it to be, lots of failures were headed my way, blah blah blah. I listened to them, but for some reason I didn’t let it stop me. I thought that maybe I would be immune to the normal struggles of starting a business. Or that I wouldn’t let those “failures” stop me. Whatever it might be, here I am 4 years later with a business BETTER than I could have dreamed of.

The Worst Month of Our Life | Our journey with grief

We weren’t really trying, but it happened. But let’s back up. On November 8th, 2018 havoc and disaster struck our community. The massive and wildly destructive Camp Fire destroyed a nearby community and left it ravaged. The 10 days that followed the fire were tumultuous and draining for everyone in our community. Including us. The smoke was everywhere and toxic.

What’s Coming for Rachel Allene in 2019

The New Year ALWAYS makes me want to change everything in my life.

I always want to rearrange my furniture, renovate my house, reorganize all the things, and fix all things in order to make them to be more efficient. One of the many things I got from my dad is my love for efficiency. Of all the things in the world that are important to me, efficiency is high on the list. Always. So after the busy holidays, I always have an itch to make things better and more efficient. In addition to efficiency, I am always focused on living life and doing business better every year. I want to be better at my sales strategy, at meal planning, at intentional relationships, at customer service. I want to create better products, serve my customers and clients better, be a better mom, etc.
