Three Ways to Celebrate Galentine’s Day

February 13th is Galentine’s Day and if you don’t know what I am talking about, click here. Then come back here to chat about how to celebrate! If you follow my business, or really any content I put out, you know that I am a big fan of encouraging and empowering women. For me, Galentine’s Day is an official day to do this. My hope is that together, we can all support and encourage our gal pals on Galentine’s Day.

I am pretty much always a last minute person when it comes to holidays. I typically start Christmas shopping around December 12th, my halloween costume gets made on October 31st, and I pretty much forget about everything else. I kid, I kid. But, if you’re like me, you’re late the party sometimes.

So, now that it’s the day before Galentine’s Day, I thought you might need a few ideas how you can still celebrate if you haven’t planned ahead (*cough* like me *cough*)!

Let’s celebrate our gal pals!

  1. Send meaningful texts: I know this might seem simple, but it’s so fun; and incredibly meaningful! Especially if your friends are a words of affirmation person! So often we get busy with our life and we forget to take a minute to check on our friends. We forget to tell them how much they mean to us. I am planning on sending individually crafted texts to a big group of women in my life. And I get so excited thinking about how it will bless them. I will probably send close to 30 texts, but even if your list is ONE, it matters. Taking a small moment to encourage a gal pal goes a long way. When I receive these type of texts it truly makes me tear up. We need to receive reminders like this, so why not be the one who starts the trend?! If you want to send me a text my number is 925-668….jkjk that’s not my number :)

  2. Grab a bottle of wine & hang out with some gals: lately, my hangouts with my gal pals have been very last minute lately and it works! I know everyone is busy, but sometimes a last minute idea is a great idea. Here’s what I think you should do: go to the store, grab a bottle of wine or champagne and text a gal pal and see if she’s home. If she’s free, stop by! You don’t have to stay for hours. You could even just drop the bottle off and go home! These little moments of random acts of kindness go a long and it shows love to our people. Who is someone who needs a bottle of wine dropped off? Text her!

  3. Download and send these free cards!: last year I created a bundle of free digital cards for you to download and print and hand out to your friends. Are you in a bind and don’t know how to celebrate Galentine’s Day? Head to this page and download the free cards and you’ll be all set! Just like the first idea of sending a text, this goes a long way. Oh, and did I mention that these cards are Free 99?! The hardest part will be picking a favorite!

Bonus idea: Pick up coffee for a friend and drop it off! Maybe your best gal pal is a new mama or an entrepreneur or just anyone who is living in 2019. Which basically necessitates the need for caffeine. So, while you’re picking up your favorite beverage from the Starbucks drive thru, add one more to the order and drop it off on your way to your destination. It might mean you need to wake up 15 minutes earlier. But your best pal is worth it, right?! I thought so.

Let’s spread some love this Galentine’s Day and tell the gal pals in our life how important, loved, and worthy they are.
